At Sam’s Construction & Renovation, we welcome all prospective clients to reach out to us at our office and discuss their upcoming project(s). During the call, one of our staff members will explain our protocol and ask questions related to the project. By the end of the call and after familiarizing ourselves with the project, our team member will be asking for additional information such as photos, plans, sketches, and scope of work, etc. to be delivered via email in order for our estimating department to build a price range for the project and send it over to the client for his/her review and correspondence.
Once the client has reviewed and accepted the initial price range provided by our estimating department – a 30-60 minutes conference call is scheduled to review the scope of work, the price range provided, and set the expectations. While our protocol may seem lengthy and unconventional to some of our clients, it is certainly the reason behind our success and reputation. It is beyond important to connect with our clients and discuss with them one of their bigger if not biggest investments before initiating any moves that may end up causing major problem later on. By the end of the conference call and after thoroughly discussing the project – a site visit is planned upon mutual agreement to gather accurate measurements and provide an official proposal for the project.
Our site visits may last between 1 – 3 hours depending on the size of the project. It is essential to understand the needs of our client(s) during this site visit and provide them with the undivided attention they deserve to absorb their vision and share with them our professional opinion. Along with the field measurements that we gather during this site visit, a number of photos are also taken with our client’s permission to allow our team to explore any possible alternatives that may work best for the overall outcome of the project. It is always our goal to tailor and deliver a unique product to our client.
Getting into contract is often the scariest point of this entire transaction. That’s why Sam’s Construction & Renovation, LLC strives to build a highly detailed contract that explains every line item of the work scope, which puts our clients at ease during this phase. Unlike other General Contracting firms, our official and final contracts are always Conforming Contracts per the State of New Jersey or the State of New York regulations. Along with the easily comprehended scope of work, our clients will also find a complete list of general notes, exclusions, payment structure, time durations, clauses, etc. In other words, we leave no room for unknowns and question marks.
